Tristan Wilson from Gainsite Plumbing, Gas & Kitchens in Bundaberg has taken out the InSinkErator 2nd Year Apprentice of the Year at the 2017 Plumbing and Gas Industry Awards, held on Friday night at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, Brisbane.

In addition to being named the InSinkErator 2nd Year Apprentice of the Year, Tristan was also named a close runner up for the Reece QLD Apprentice of the Year Award.

Tristan’s employer gave him high praise, stating Tristan has a strong work ethic, good communication skills and is a hardworking lad that goes above and beyond. As a young and passionate apprentice, Tristan looks to have a bright future ahead in the industry.

Close behind Tristan as runner-up for this award was Benjamin Paynter who works for Silk Plumbing and Drainage Contractors on the Sunshine Coast and is currently studying at TAFE Queensland. Benjamin should be congratulated on being Queensland’s runner-up in this award category for 2017.
