Tiffany English Wins Aspiring Young Businesswoman Award

The Trades Industry Knows Her Name, But Do You?

Tiffany English, the dynamic young founder and director of Modus Operandi, has dedicated her career to helping tradies simplify their lives and businesses. Earlier this month, her hard work was recognised, as she was awarded the Aspiring Young Business Women’s Award, an initiative recognizing outstanding and successful businesswomen and industry achievers across Queensland.

English, a Perth native and graduate of Curtin University’s MBA program, founded Modus Operandi as a way to combine her passion for trades and her strengths as a business professional. By the age of 20, English was helping tradies streamline their lives by automating their business operations.

“My background in trades has driven me to change the way tradies operate,” says English. “I’m passionate about making their businesses easier, so they can focus more on what they’re good at and less on the admin. I’ve seen first-hand how much of a difference it’s made to so many tradies – both in their life and businesses.”

Winners and nominees of the 2018 Women in Business Awards were celebrated at the Gold Coast Women in Business Awards Gala Awards Luncheon on Friday 19 October. The annual awards were created to honour women who possess vision, innovation, entrepreneurial drive, leadership, individuality and tenacity with the ultimate goal being to present role models for other women to aspire to.

“Given the age of our business, an award of this calibre was very unexpected. I’m truly honoured to accept this award, and feel very fortunate to be doing what I love every day—simplifying trades.”
