22 May 2020 - As the COVID-19 lockdown restrictions ease, Master Plumbers’ Association of Queensland (MPAQ) urges business owners to consider the importance of ensuring the safety of their building’s gas systems and appliances before occupancy resumes.
In January 2020 the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the outbreak of a new coronavirus disease in Hubei Province, China to be a Public Health Emergency of International Concern. WHO stated there is a high risk of the 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) spreading to other countries around the world.
As the COVID-19 lockdown restrictions ease, peak industry bodies and unions have joined forces to formally write to Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk calling for the deliverance of new stimulus to ensure the protection of the building and construction industry in Queensland.
