Course Overview
This is an online course for all plumbers and contractors who wish to obtain a QBCC Trade Contractor Licence. Furthermore, this course is also one of the mandatory Certificate IV competencies required to obtain a Queensland Plumbing/Drainage/Gas Contractors Licence.
The course applies to those establishing a business providing self-employment, as well as those establishing a new venture as part of a larger organisation.
This course covers current legislation and best practice relating to identifying and complying with legal and risk management requirements of a business or new business venture, including negotiating, creating and planning for legal contracts used within the business, where required.
** PLEASE NOTE: A Webcam is required to participate and access the content in the course.
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for this course.
Unique Student Identifier
Student must also possess a valid USI.
All learners undertaking Nationally Accredited Training must possess a valid Unique Student Identifier (USI). The USI is an individual education number which allows learners to access their training records and results at any time. If learners do not possess a valid USI while undertaking accredited training they will be unable to receive a Statement of Attainment.

Course Delivery
This course is delivered online and is self-paced. Students will be given 3 months to complete the course.
Outcomes and Recognition
Course Outcomes
On successful completion of this course learners will be able to:
- Identify legal and risk management requirements relating to business
- Implement procedures and processes to comply with legislative and regulatory requirements
- Negotiate and arrange contracts
- Mitigate business risks
Course Recognition
On successful completion of this course learners will be issued with a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment.

Additional Fees
Additional fees may apply for the process of reissuing your licence with the backflow endorsement. These fees and charges will be incurred from the Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) and any issues with these fees should be raised directly with them.

Once your registration, payment and enrolment is complete you will be able to commence the training course immediately.
