Employer Essentials are designed to help plumbing and gas businesses operate within the national employment standards and to protect employers and employees.
This is a non-accredited online course that includes the following modules:
- Performance appraisals
- Performance Management
- Redundancy
- Unfair Dismissal
- Adverse Action
Performance management is part of employing people to ensure that outcomes for the business and the person is achieved. This course will provide learners with information on:
- The different types of performance appraisals and how to conduct an appraisal to ensure that the employer is regularly engaging with their staff about the performance.
- What is performance management and how to manage it to achieve the goals.
- What it means for the position to be made redundant in the plumbing industry, relating to the 3 main Awards.
- What happens if an employee lodges an unfair dismissal and how to navigate the process.
- What are a general protections claim that relates to adverse action and how do employers try to protect themselves from a claim being made.
Course Recognition
On successful completion of these courses, learners will be issued with a Certificate of Attendance.
