Employer Essentials are designed to help plumbing and gas businesses operate within the national employment standards and to protect employers and employees.
This is a non-accredited online course that includes the following modules:
- Types of employment
- Apprentices
- Wages and salary
- Hours of work
- Breaks
- Fares and travel
The plumbing industry has 3 main Awards that employers may have coverage of, and learners of this course will gain and understanding of:
- The different types of employment across the 3 different Awards.
- What are apprentices and how to employ them.
- What to include in determining the relevant rate of pay and how to distinguish between wages and salary.
- The different hours of work across the 3 awards and what impact that has for overtime and penalties.
- The paid and unpaid breaks that employees are entitled to.
- The relevant fares and travel that an employee may be entitled to during their employment in the plumbing industry.
Course Recognition
On successful completion of these courses, learners will be issued with a Certificate of Attendance.
Course Fees
- CSQ Small Business funded: $25 (inc. GST)
- Non-funded: $440 (inc. GST)
