MPAQ Plumbing Workshop for non-Plumbers

Please note: MPAQ takes the health and wellbeing of all of our students, members, community and staff very seriously, especially in light of the COVID-19 crisis. Health and safety is our top priority and as a result, we have made the decision to resume our face-to-face training courses with class sizes limited to 10 students. Workshop Overview

This workshop will enable individuals working in plumbing businesses to gain a better understanding of the relevant legislation, standards and technical requirements of plumbing work. It will review relevant legislation, notifiable works, the role of the Queensland Building and Construction Commission and the local councils, plumbing forms and licence types and scope. This workshop is specifically designed for admin or support staff to provide the knowledge and confidence to better assist their customers.

NOTE: Completing this workshop will not provide you with the relevant skills, knowledge, or licensing to carry out plumbing works and is only designed to provide general information to better assist customer service.


There are no prerequisites for this workshop. 

Workshop Delivery

This workshop can be delivered from 4 - 6 hours during a face-to-face workshop or online

Outcomes and Recognition

Course Outcomes

On successful completion of this workshop, learners will be able to demonstrate their knowledge of the current Queensland Plumbing and Drainage Legislation, Standards and Forms.

Course Recognition 

This workshop will not lead to any certifications or qualifications. On successful completion of this workshop, learners will be issued with a Certificate of Attendance.

Small Business Funded (MPAQ Member): FREE*

Small Business Funded (Non-Member): $50* (inc. GST)

Non-Funded (Members and Non-Members): $200 (inc. GST)
