MPAQ Training on Tour

Nationally recognised training, delivered closer to your region

MPAQ Training is taking selected RTO courses on the road, bringing nationally recognised training to Queensland locations outside South East Queensland.

Across two rounds - June to July, then September to October - plumbers and teams can access in-person training in regional locations without the extra travel to Brisbane. This tour includes Jetter Safety, Backflow and TMV training, making it easier to build skills, meet endorsement requirements and keep workforces current.

Getting staff to training is not always straightforward, especially when travel adds time away from the job and extra cost to the business.

Training on Tour is designed to make access easier for regional plumbing businesses by bringing practical, nationally recognised training to more Queensland locations. It gives business owners and teams a more workable way to plan training, upskill staff and stay on top of industry requirements.

• Jetter Safety

  MSMSS00019 Operate a Drain Cleaning System (Jetter Safety Skill Set)

  This 2-day nationally recognised course is designed for people who operate drain-cleaning equipment. It covers safe work practices, worksite management, emergency response procedures and the practical operation of drain cleaning systems. On successful completion, learners receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment.

• Backflow

  CPCPWT4022 Commission and Maintain Backflow Prevention Devices

  This accredited 3-day course is required for plumbers who want to obtain a backflow endorsement with the Queensland Building and Construction Commission. It focuses on the skills and knowledge required to test, commission and maintain backflow prevention devices in water services, with assessment completed in practical and classroom settings. On successful completion, learners receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment.

• TMV

  CPCPWT4023 Commission and Maintain Hot and Heated Water Temperature Control Devices

  This accredited course is required for plumbers who want to obtain a TMV endorsement with the Queensland Building and Construction Commission. It covers the skills and knowledge needed to test, commission and maintain heated water temperature control devices, including thermostatic mixing valves. The training includes a face-to-face class plus additional online course work and assessment. On successful completion, learners receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment.
