Course Overview
This is a QBCC Commissioner Approved online course required for all plumbers who wish to gain an endorsement on their plumbing licence to install solar and heat pump water heating systems.
To complete this course, participants will be required to complete an online assessment.
** PLEASE NOTE: A Webcam is required in order to participate in the course.
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites* for this course.
Student must possess a valid USI.
From 1 January 2015 all learners undertaking Nationally Accredited Training must possess a valid Unique Student Identifier (USI). The USI is a specific number which allows learners to access their training records and results at any time. If learners do not possess a valid USI while undertaking accredited training they will be unable to receive a Statement of Attainment.

All participants are also required to possess a copy of the following Australian Standards (including all amendments) in order to commence the course:
- AS/NZS3500.0 2003
- AS/NZS3500.1 2018
- AS/NZS3500.4 2018
Course Delivery
This course is delivered online and is self-paced. Students will be given 1 month to complete the course.
Outcomes and Recognition
Course Outcomes
On successful completion of this course learners will be able to:
- Evaluate the design, planning and the installation requirements to ensure the safe installation of solar and heat pump water heating systems.
Course Recognition
As this course is accredited, upon successful completion learners will be issued with a Statement of Attainment. The certificate must be presented to the QBCC to have the endorsement added to your licence.

Additional Fees
Additional fees may apply for the process of adding the solar and heat pump endorsement to your plumber’s licence. These fees and charges will be incurred from the Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) and any issues with these fees should be raised directly with them.
Registration
NOTE: Please ensure you have all of your personal details, including your USI, with you prior to registering for the course to make your enrolment process as quick and easy as possible. Once your registration, payment and enrolment is complete you will be able to commence the training course immediately.
