MPAQ Council Nominations
Nominations open midday Tuesday 16 September 2025 and close midday Tuesday 14 October 2025 to be part of the MPAQ Council.
The purpose of the MPAQ Council is to provide leadership, set policies and the strategic direction for MPAQ, and oversee the business and affairs of the Association for the purpose that the Association is established: the peak industry body representing plumbing and gas contractors in Queensland. The role of the Council is supported by the Chief Executive Officer. The Board is accountable to the members for the overall performance of the Association but does not manage the day-to-day operations of the Association – this is delegated to the Chief Executive Officer.
In accordance with the provisions of the Industrial Relations Act and Regulations, candidates wishing to nominate for positions of Office (MPAQ Council) can either download and print a nomination form or complete the online form below:

Candidate Statement
Should a ballot be needed to decide the result of the election, candidates are required to prepare and send by email a single page, A4 “Candidate Statement” setting out appropriate and relevant information concerning your candidature for office. Click here for an example candidate statement.

The ballot will be conducted from Tuesday 28 October to Monday 17 November 2025. Only persons who were financial members 30 days before the opening time for nominations may vote in any election.
