Employment Contracts - Award Free

An award free contract of this nature may be appropriate for an employee in a senior management position or a particularly high paid specialist that there is no Award coverage for. Most employees would fall under an award, so call the MPAQ advisory line on 07 3273 0800 before utilising this contract. 

Please note, award free employees are still covered by the National Employment Standards (NES).

• Inclusions

  The contract bundle includes:

  1 x Full time editable PDF contract - These contracts should be used for individuals that you wish to engage on a full time, 38 hours (on average) per week basis.

  • Salaried paid - Salaried employees are paid a fixed annual wage, irrespective of the number of hours worked. You must ensure that an employee on a fixed salary is better off overall than they would be if paid the minimum hourly rate, with all applicable entitlements under the modern award included.

  1 x Casual editable PDF contract - Useful where demand is inconsistent or you require cover for staff leave. The employment relationship has no firm advance commitment to ongoing work and they’re entitled to a casual loading or specific rate of casual pay.

  PLUS, the following documents:

  • An information guide outlining the key areas of the employment contracts

  • Example Position Descriptions

  • A suite of example employment policies
