As per the requirements of the Plumbing and Drainage Act 2018, Chief Executive Approval is required for installing an on-site sewage treatment plant.

All flexible hose assemblies were required to meet the updated standards AS 3718:2021 and AS 3499:2022 by 31 December 2024.

The Department of Housing, Local Government, Planning and Public Works has released an updated guideline for certifiers that clarifies Forms 12 and 43 are not a requirement for plumbing and drainage works.

Resources Safety and Health Queensland (RSHQ) has begun phasing out the use of hard copy books for gas system compliance certificates, gas defect notices, and vehicle/vessel inspection certificates. Instead, the hard copies will be replaced with digital e-certificates.
