The future of the industry is a future with everyone – no matter their gender, race, or age. This year, three women took the stage at the 2023 Plumbing and Gas Industry Awards to represent all the amazing women of the industry working on and off the tools.

This year, the ladies of the industry took to the spotlight and showcased the great work that they have done at the Plumbing and Gas Industry Awards.

The plumbing and gas industry, like many trades, continues to be a male-dominated field until today; but women like Jacinta are proving that they are making a mark.

Meet the winner of the Austbrokers Comsure Andrea Vogler Women in Business Award at the recently held 2025 Plumbing & Gas Industry Awards.

Summer Hodge and Tayla Jolly, both proudly on the tools, talk to the Master Plumbers’ Association of Queensland (MPAQ) to share about their experiences as thriving women in the plumbing and gas industry.

MPAQ held its inaugural Women’s Plumbing Alliance (WPA) leadership retreat from Thursday 18 May to Friday 19 May 2023 at Sea World Resort on the Gold Coast. Attended by dozens of women from the plumbing and gas industry, the event celebrated the vital role of women in the trades and gave them the opportunity to network, learn, and develop leadership skills.

The Women's Plumbing Alliance was established for the women working behind the scenes and on the tools in plumbing and gas businesses, and we encourage all women in the plumbing and gas industry to get involved.
