The Women's Plumbing Alliance was established for the women working behind the scenes and on the tools in plumbing and gas businesses, and we encourage all women in the plumbing and gas industry to get involved.

In late 2019, the Women's Plumbing Alliance Committee officially welcomed two of it's newest members, Donna Dillon and Sonya Hughes.

Experienced plumber and director of Gold Coast company Demeter Constructions, Rachael Keiley, has won the Queensland Building and Construction Commission Women in Plumbing and Gas Award at the 2018 Plumbing and Gas Industry Awards.

Kathy Akins from Akins Plumbing was awarded the Andrea Vogler Women in Business award at the 2018 Plumbing and Gas Industry Awards, held on Friday 20 July at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, Brisbane.

Our Women’s Plumbing Alliance Committee is currently focussed on attracting new plumbing apprentices to our trade. We recently met with Construction Skills Queensland to seek some advice and support on a specific project to look at ways to increase the number of students entering into the plumbing industry.

The Master Plumbers' Association of Queensland (MPAQ) is the peak industry body representing plumbing contractors throughout Queensland, from sole operators to medium sized plumbing businesses and large contracting firms.
